Benjamin turns Six...

On August 7th we celebrated Benjamin's sixth birthday with a Spongebob themed party with family and neighbors. Amazing that our baby boy is headed off to Kindergarten in less than a week and has lost two teeth this summer.
The kids enjoy pizza before eating cupcakes...
The following day we got to see cousin Oliver pitch in Winston-Salem, he got the win as we seem to bring him good luck as he has won both games that we have attended this season.

CMS Update

While Sara is at the midnight release for Twilight-Eclipse with her girlfriends I have decided to post. Last week we finally received some good news from CMS schools, Benjamin will be attending Cotswold Elementary for Kindergarten! We had applied thru the Magnet Lottery and did not get in the first lottery so we submitted a medical transfer to faciliate a late school start which is beneficial for Benjamin with his SPD. Our medical request was denied, so we then appealed to the school board and got to present in front of two board members and student placement officials. Sara spent hours preparing articles and information that we presented in large packets at the meeting where we were given 5 minutes to present our case. Sara read a strong statement which included a poem which describes a child with SPD and tugs at both our hearts, it brought tears from both of us. Then last week we received a call from student placement that our case was being sent back to the Medical Board for review as the appeal committee was not comfortable making the medical decision. We held our breaths and got a call back that same day, the Medical Board did indeed grant our request. It has been a long couple of months having this hang over our heads and it is great to have it finally resolved and to know that Benjamin will be in a situation that will be better for him to succeed with a late school start (9:15am) and be a part of the IB (International Bacalorate) program. Thanks to all those who supported and prayed for us...
Tyler celebrated his 3rd Birthday, a special appearance was made by the real Pablo....

Traveled to Myrtle Beach for the weekend, got to visit with Sophia and Noelani.

Benjamin sadly finished up TK at St Stephens, amazing how his 4 years went by so fast.

Boys have been beating the heat playing outside in the water.

Ashley returned to have fun and watch the boys, as Mom and Dad traveled to NY for Sara to attend her reunion at Wells and Dad also attended Hams wedding in Mass. To top things off our return flight was canceled so we got to drive 11 hours back from Syracuse, at least we drove in style in a Grand Marquis...

Mother's Day Update

Today being Mother's Day we are spending a relaxing day at home and enjoying the beautiful spring weather, high around 70 today! Last weekend the Queen of the Goguen castle completed her first career 5K! She did a great job, walking briefly which was significant since she was not able to train as much as she would have liked since she had a recent flare up of her RA. Papa and Grama visited and found the perfect gift...a John Deere Tractor!

Benajamin at school, sadly finishing up his last year at St Stephen.

Tyler all dressed up for the petting zoo @ school....

Back after Hiatus...

Finally the Goguen family is back, and now we look through seven months of pictures and do not know where to start. All is well with the team, we have had PC issues and have recently added a laptop and wireless which give us no excuse to share more frequently now!
We spent Labor Day at Myrtle Beach, thanks to our neighbors who offered us their cottage at the last minute.
The boys started preschool, Tyler in 4-day 2s and Benjamin in 5-day TK classes.

Celebrated Halloween with Sara's cousins at the Seawitch Festival @ Rehobeth Beach!

The Boys prepared for Christmas with a visit with Santa.

Celebrated Christmas in Massachusetts with Jason's family, boys got to build a snowman...named Sammy of course!

Benjamin started Tae Kwon Do in the Fall, he is now an orange belt.

Benjamin this past weekend got to take batting practice from cousin Oliver, who stayed a night with us on his way to spring training with the Orioles.
